John William Collins

John passed away peacefully Monday January 27, 2014. He was 66 years old. John was born in San Francisco, Ca. on August 8, 1947 to John and Helen Collins.

He leaves behind three brothers and three sisters and Mother. Robert, Marilyn, Kate, Helen, Jimmy and Jerry and his Mother Helen.

John was raised in Denver, Colorado and graduated from Alameda High in Lakewood and from Metro State College in Denver. He enjoyed long distance running.

John served his country in Vietnam. He was an MP with the Army and patrolled an airbase in Long Binh, South Vietnam with his faithful service dog REX.

John worked for the Federal Government at the Federal Center in Denver with the Bureau of Reclamation upon returning from the Army.

John had a long life and believed in serving those who were less fortunate in society. He was a tireless worker and an advocate for the Handicapped.

John rest in peace –
