New Book by John Burnam
This is from Jim Frost 981st 70-71.
I wanted to let you know that John Burnam's book is now available directly from him. It will soon be available on Amazon. This book is the latest edition to his former book "Dog Tags of Courage." Much of the book covers John's experiences in Vietnam with his scout dogs, Timber and then Clipper. It has added chapters on the effort to establish the Military Working Dog Teams National Monument at Lackland Air Force Base this past October. I am honored to be mentioned in the book with my efforts on the booth and our efforts with the Salute to the Military Working Dog entry in the Phoenix Veterans Day Parade.
If you are interested you can order the book directly from John. He will autograph it to the name you designate if you want it as a gift for a veteran or other friend. Total cost is 25.00 including postage. A portion of the sales goes to help maintain the National Monument.
A reminder that pictures of the dedication are at www.jbmf.us and click on the dedication icon. The first picture, of the Monument, if you click on that shows a 28 minute video of the dedication speakers. Its edited down from a 2 1/2 hour event. I am in the last 30 seconds.
As far as the parade, yes, its over 4 months away yet, but we are doing some pre-planning. Once again we hope to have a couple of special guests participate in this year's parade with us. Announcements later.
