09/15/2012: "Reunion Update"

Dear Dog Handlers:

I hope all is well with each and everyone. Writing this update sure has mix emotions. First I am very sadden about Jack Duffle’s passing. He is going to be sorely missed. He created our website as you know. He was always a joy to talk to at the reunions.
Well it’s time to give another update about our upcoming reunion. I hope this doesn’t get too long. First of all I am satisfied that I know what the prices are going to be. The prices are as follows:

Saturday Night Dinner, Oct12, 2013 Saturday, 1800-???? hours, $30.00 per attendee

Sunday AM Goodbye Breakfast, Oct 13, 2013 Sunday, To Be Announced, No Cost to attendees staying at the Ramada.

I have one side note about the bus trip to Leonard-Wood. To make use of the bus I am going to contract, I have to have a minimum of 24 passengers. In the event we do not come close to that number I will cancel the bus and refund that portion of the reunion fee to you at the reunion. I am actually pretty confident that we will have at least 24 folks wanting to go. If we exceed the 24 number then I can get a 35 passenger bus or add a second bus. That said there may come a time to cut off the number of people who can ride the bus(s). Obviously it will be first come first served. Another note the price of eating at a real bonafide dining facility (mess hall) is not included in the trip price.
To encourage others to attend the reunion, as the saying goes the more the merrier, I would like to put in the newsletter and the website who who’s coming. If that is a problem please include on the registration form “DO NOT PUBLISH THAT I AM ATTENDING”.

I need a favor. I need members who belong to other fraternal organizations that offer reunion updates to put a notice about our reunion in that organization’s publication. I do not belong to any other military fraternal organizations. If you are willing to do this please let me know as to lessen duplications. Most organizations will not accept notices of reunions more than six months prior. Below is a suggested notice:
